I would like to introduce myself as Ebrahim Taghinezhad, Associate Professor in the Biosystems Engineering Department at Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran, Iran. I also hold the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Technology Engineering at the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili, Iran, where I have been from 2015 to 2024. From 2022 to July 2024, I served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the field of Food Chemistry at the Department of Food Chemistry and Biocatalysis at Wrocaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Poland. My research focuses on the application of Raman spectroscopy and spectral imaging techniques for the nondestructive prediction of agricultural product quality during processing. Data analysis is conducted using software such as MATLAB (ANN), Python (CNN), Unscrambler, and Design Expert. As indicated in my curriculum vitae, I am keenly interested in hyperspectral imaging for predicting and detecting quality properties of agricultural products in both pre- and postharvest stages. I have also supervised several Ph.D. and M.Sc. students working in this area. I have recently launched a new project on the extraction of essential oils from medicinal plants using innovative and green methods. In this direction, we have been awarded a national project from the Iran National Science Foundation (INSF) with the title Application of Acoustic Wave Induced Cavitation Generator (AWICG) in the simultaneous extraction and encapsulation of bioactive products (Case study: grape plant). In addition, my skills in spectroscopy and my experience with various drying and extraction methodsincluding measurement and data analysis, manuscript and review writing, and exploring additional applications of hyperspectral imaging for detecting pesticide residues and assessing the quality of agricultural productswould be valuable assets.
