Materials Determination And Selection
Introduction

The doctoral research training course in materials engineering is the highest scientific level in this field, which leads to the award of a specialized doctorate (Ph.D) degree at the end of the course. This discipline includes main and specialized theoretical and research courses in the form of thesis. The core courses help the student to strengthen his knowledge in different areas of materials engineering to provide the ability to teach and research in important interdisciplinary areas. Specialized courses and experimental research should be related to each other and in a specific and coordinated direction that leads to expertise in the related field. The desired trends can be metallurgy, corrosion and ceramics

Job skills

"Ability in the following areas: -Independent Managment of research in various fields of material engineering, including basic, applied and developmental research - Teaching various aspects in the field of materials science and engineering at bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels"

Materials Characterization and Selection (Metallurgy)
Introduction

In this academic field, various scientific and practical issues in the field of material engineering and metallurgy are investigated. These subjects include familiarity with the properties of materials in different environments, knowledge of the phenomena affecting the behavior and properties of materials, phase transformations, synthesis and manufacturing processes of materials, methods of identifying the properties of materials. Acquaintance with various production methods including casting, shaping and welding, surface engineering and advanced systems in micro and nano dimensions is one of the capabilities of the graduates of this specialized field.

Job skills

"Ability in the following fields: - Analysis of the properties of metal materials at different stages from smelting and melting stage to making of the final parts. - Choosing the most suitable materials and process for making metal parts - Identifying the reasons for the failing of metal materials in different environments - Designing the processes required in the manufacture or optimization of parts made of metal materials"

Welding
Introduction

This university discipline includes different courses in materials engineering, which leads to the increase of students' knowledge of the metallurgical aspects and technology of different methods of joining materials, especially metallic materials, and its graduates will have the ability to work in the field of welding engineering.

Job skills

Technological design of various welding processes- - Quality control of welding processes and the final quality of welded sections and joint
