Medical Sciences

Given the rapid and wide-ranging development in science, especially the recent achievements in basic sciences of medicine, training scientific and efficient specialists in the field of laboratory hematology and blood bank, which has been marginalized among in basic sciences of medicine, and enthusiastic applicants in this field, the necessity to set up a PhD program has always been a high priority. The Department of Hematology (laboratory hematology and blood bank) has been working since the establishment of the Tarbiat Modares University Faculty of Medicine since 1984.

Goals and Tasks

Training specialists who are efficient in Hematology (laboratory hematology and blood bank), in order to provide the faculty members needed by the universities and research and scientific centers of the country is the major aspiration of the Department. Hematology graduates are able to administer laboratory and research affairs as well as teaching at universities across the country.
